It's essential to develop critical thinkers who can identify truth and reliable information, exercising strong discernment to filter out misinformation and errors. Students must be equipped with communication and interpersonal skills that will be vital in the world they are preparing to enter.

This includes the ability to regulate their own emotions, collaborate effectively with others, manage complex projects and relationships, and engage in civil debate that prioritizes truth and learning over winning, conflict, or division.

Equally important is fostering a commitment to the common good and encouraging respect for diverse perspectives to prepare students to contribute meaningfully to our society.

We now have access to the world’s collective knowledge at our fingertips and tools that enable us to learn new skills in real time, on demand, as needed. Students need to develop a stronger understanding of how to use these resources effectively.

At the same time, schools must focus more on the uniquely human aspects of life that are increasingly important such as personal and relational skills, leadership, organization, critical thinking, and soft skills like confidence, creativity, grit, perseverance, and adaptability.
